Wil Farr is an Audio Engineer/Musician based in Minneapolis, MN. He holds an MFA in Music Composition and BFA in Music Production from SUNY Purchase College. Over the last decade he has accumulated extensive experience running live sound for all manners of events and has also found success in the studio writing, playing, mixing, mastering and producing music for various artists.

Outside of the studio, Wil spends his time as 98 Degrees’ Primary touring Front of House Engineer and Production Manager. When he is home Wil works at numerous local venues, primarily First Ave and Fine Line. On occasion he is known to design and build redundant audio and video playback systems for touring musical acts.

At all other times Wil is dedicated to writing and performing his original music. Currently, he is the frontman, singer and songwriter for Hurrah A Bolt of Light. Prior to forming Hurrah, Wil led indie rock favorite, Paper and Sand, and was lead guitar player and founding member of pop-rock band, Fire Flies.

Originally, Wil is from Alabama, but he does not have an accent. He enjoys listening to the likes of Kate Bush, Pixies, Lucinda Williams, Modest Mouse, and The Sex Pistols. He sings and plays guitar, piano, drums, bass, saxophone, and several other instruments. When he's not making music, he enjoys drinking martinis, reading Michael Crichton novels and watching trees.
